Ex-Finance Minister, Ersin Tatar was rushed to hospital late last night.
He was initially taken to Nicosia state hospital where he was diagnosed with congested arteries.
The ex-minister has now been moved to the Near East Hospital for further tests and treatment.
Family members and friends have visited him and say that he is in good spirits.
