Police have launched an investigation into the cause of a fire which damaged 20 acres of barley fields.
Villagers of Taspinar in Guzelyurt formed a blockade of tractors to prevent the fire spreading further before fire fighters arrived to fight the blaze. Fortunately the wind changed direction which helped to stop the fire spreading.
After the fire was brought under control, a survey of the damage found that a further 22 acres of barley and five dwarf pomegranate trees were partially burned.
