Fire swept through Bogazköy yesterday afternoon. One civil defence worker who was slightly injured, was taken to hospital.
Strong winds caused the blaze to rapidly cover 60 – 70 acres of land, destroying trees and shrubbery.
After several hours, the combined efforts of the Civil Defence and Forestry Department teams, managed to put out the flames.
