Following the oil spillage at Kalecik, Tourism and Environment Minister Mehmet Harmanci held a press conference earlier today to announce the first fine levied on AKSA.
The first fine is a statutory one of 60 times the minimum wage and will, therefore, be TL 169,800.
However Mr Harman stressed that further fines would follow. He said that yesterday police and expert reports had been handed to the Attorney General who will now start actions against AKSA.
All clean up work carried out to date has been paid for by AKSA.
