Five-Party Meeting Must be on a New Basis: Ozersay

North Cyprus News - Kudret OzersayA five-party informal meeting between actors involved in the Cyprus problem would need to ensure territorial integrity, said Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Kudret Ozersay.

Speaking on on a special 20 July programme on BRT, he said that “We have established our state on this territorial integrity”.

Referring to the mooted five-party informal meeting, Ozersay said that if the meeting is based on the same negotiating parameters that have been discussed for the past 50 years where no progress has been achieved, then he could not support it.

This approach means the never-ending discussions on a federal partnership that won’t be realised and will be all for waste. We as the government disapprove of this”, said Ozersay. He added that the natural gas issue will be a test of sincerity for the Greek Cypriot leadership.
