A special parliamentary committee will announce its decision as to whether or not immunity from prosecution will be lifted from the former prime minister and former leader of the National Unity Party Huseyin Ozgurgun.
Ozgurgun, who is being investigated for alleged corruption, is still a member of the UBP.
According to earlier reports he has said that he had no objection to his immunity being lifted and was not guilty of any wrongdoing.
If the lifting of immunity is approved by parliament, it will be the first time a former prime minister will have been subjected to prosecution.
