The Maltese Ministry of Culture, invited director of the Marine Historical Research Centre at Kyrenia University (GAU) Ali Riza Isipek, to participate in a conference in Malta titled ‘1565 – The Great Siege of Malta’ Conference.
Organised by Heritage Malta, the conference marks the 450th anniversary of Malta’s siege by the Ottomans. Twenty-five academics from various countries will participate in the conference.
