We are going through very critical times said Turkish Cypriot president Derviş Eroğlu who spoke to press at the presidential palace where Eroğlu and his wife Meral Eroğlu (L) held a reception in celebration of Ramadan, ‘Kibris Postasi’ reports.
Noting that Bayrams (Eid) are the days when friendships and sense of unity strengthens Eroğlu said “I wish our unity in [the] TRNC gets stronger. We are going through very critical times. Therefore it is very important that all our institutions, political parties and everyone act in unity.”
Touching upon the Cyprus negotiations Eroğlu said that all Turkish Cypriots should focus on the solution. “We need to feel our people’s support at the negotiation table”, said Eroğlu who concluding his remarks by wishing that North Cyprus reaches a solution to the Cyprus problem where the rights of Turkish Cypriots are defended.
