The owners of the Golden Bay Hotel in Alsancak face prosecution following a cement pouring operation on the peninsula behind the hotel.
The hotel operators wanted to create a concrete deck on the beach peninsula, so that that diners might take their meals there.
The matter was reported to the police and the Kyrenia district authorities were informed.
Local authority officer Mehmet Envergil said that legal proceedings will be initiated and the antiquities department will also be informed.
