Debates on the Famagusta, Yeni Iskele and Yeni Boğaziçi decree on planned development are continuing.
Prime Minister Tufan Erhurman has said that the government was fully determined to prepare a development plan and put it into effect as soon as possible. The new plans are intended to prepare the ground for sustainable and planned development.
In a written statement on the draft decree for three areas, Erhurman said that the provisions of the decree were temporary instruments, which guaranteed in advance, the provisions of the development plan.
According to the report by ‘Kibris’, the biologists’ association and the environmental engineers’ chamber issued separate statements yesterday, saying that they support the decree.
