Greek Cypriot pilgrims come to TRNC

Hundreds of Greek Cypriots crossed the border to visit the church of Ayios Mamas in Guzelyurt on Sunday.

The church is one of the major places of worship for Orthodox Christians and is named after Saint Mamas.

This is the eighth year that religious ceremonies have been held at the church. The Greek Cypriot crowds were led by the self-styled “Mayor of Morphou”.
