Punishments for drug related crimes are about to get tougher.
New laws will allow for an increase in fines to between TL 15,000 and TL 100,000. Prison sentences will be increased to 20 years.
These amendments to the drug laws have been published in the Official Gazette on April 19th and public comments and reactions have been invited.
