Health and Commerce protocols between Turkey and TRNC now in force

The protocol and the agreements between Turkey and the TRNC, related to consumer protection and health have been published in Turkey’s official gazette and have come into force.

The cooperation protocol on consumer protection between Turkey’s Ministry of Customs and Commerce and the TRNC’s Ministry for Economy, Industry and Commerce provides for the “mutual and continuous” cooperation and exchange of views in the fields of consumer protection and market surveys and control. They will also organise seminars and exchange expert opinions, aimed at developing personnel capacity, e-commerce, distance sales, advertising, resolution of complaints and market analysis.

The agreement in the field of health provides, inter alia, for Turkey providing vaccines to the TRNC for various illnesses.
