Heavy Rain Damages Ercan Airport Runway

Heavy rainfall has caused damage to the section of runway at Ercan Airport where planes normally take off and land, Kibris Postasi reported.

A statement made by the airport operator T&T, said that the planes were landing and taking off from another part of the runway and that teams had begun work to repair the damage.

Normal flights are expected to resume by noon, the statement said.
