Horsemeat Scandal comes to South Cyprus

Deputy Head of Health Services Christos Christu has announced that horse meat has been detected at a private meat plant and that food products have been confiscated.

Mr Christu says that supermarkets in South Cyprus will be announcing withdrawals of meat products due to misleading labels.

Apparently processed meat giant Comigel has been supplied by meat from a company in Limassol.
