Around 10,000 volunteers took part in the “Let’s Do It” campaign which was organised under the umbrella of World Environment Day on Thursday, TAK news agency reports.
During the campaign rubbish was collected and bagged in four different categories. “Tin and metal”, “paper”, “glass” and “plastic”.
Parliamentary Spokesperson Sibel Siber, (above) Turkish Ambassador to Nicosia Halil İbrahim Akça, Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Hamit Bakırcı are among the many officials who took part in the clean-up campaign.
