Tatar - IPC Commission

President Ersin Tatar has announced that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) is planning to enhance the operations of the Immovable Property Commission (IPC), BRTK reported.

Tatar welcomed a delegation from the committee on immovable properties established within the Cyprus Turkish Bars Association. During the meeting, he underscored the significance of the IPC, emphasizing the need to allocate adequate resources to ensure its effective functioning and the prompt processing of applications.

Tatar reiterated that the property issue could be resolved through various means such as exchange, restitution, or compensation. He also mentioned the potential consideration of a global exchange, a concept previously proposed by the founding President Rauf Raif Denktaş.

Furthermore, Tatar stressed the importance of fostering trust in the institutions and organisations of the TRNC.
