A jewellery store owner whose shop was robbed on Thursday, is asking how it was possible for the two robbers to leave the country via Ercan airport on Friday, when the police had images of them robbing the store.
The two suspects, who are believed to be Iranian were recorded on camera as they stole gold and jewellery from a jewellery store in Kyrenia owned by Senak Kuyumcu. Following which, they travelled to Famagusta to hide their haul on a beach. Police, later on,discovered the stolen items and a large amount of cash.
The two men took a taxi to Ercan. Cameras at the airport show images of the two men, who had no luggage, leaving the country on Friday afternoon.
