Journalist Sefa Karahasan faces trial for alleged possession of a counterfeit diploma, Kibris Postasi reports.

CHP Deputy Group Chairman Gökhan Günaydın has raised the issue of the ongoing investigation into fake diplomas issued by Cyprus Health and Social Sciences University (KSTU)  at the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM).

During his address, Günaydın revealed that Karahasan, who is on the Board of Trustees at Cyprus Health and Social Sciences University,  purportedly acquired a master’s degree within two months and a university diploma in just 40 days.

As arrests continue during the investigations concerning “fake diplomas” at the Cyprus Health Sciences University (KSTU), the matter has garnered attention in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM).

Gökhan Günaydın raised the topic of the recent arrest of journalist Sefa Karahasan, expressing dismay over the developments. He highlighted concerns about the authenticity of diplomas held by individuals appointed to prominent positions, stressing that the issue extends beyond Karahasan alone.

Further on in his address, Günaydın pointedly remarked, “Individuals appointed to top positions hold counterfeit diplomas. TRT representative Sefa Karahasan allegedly acquired a diploma within 40 days, and you’ve validated it. Isn’t this a matter of shame?
