The village of Kalavac was flooded with visitors yesterday; its Art and Culture festival held in the village square attracted large crowds.
There were many stalls selling homemade food and drinks. Various musicians entertained during the day.
In addition, there was an unusually significant participation by writers, poets, cartoonists and photographers as well.
The South Cyprus Greek Folk Dance Team were well received.
Various dignitaries attended and the opening ceremony was conducted by the Prime Minister Irsen Kucuk and a message from President Eroglu who was abroad at the time, was read out.
