KIB-TEK cuts power to ministries for unpaid bills

North Cyprus electricity authority KIB-TEK has cut the power to several state departments and ministries which have not paid their electricity bill for months.

Several schools, health services, ministries and state departments have been without electricity since May 23. The Ministry of Finance, which is included on the list, paid its bill yesterday.

Other ministries which are affected by the power cut are: The Ministry of Economy and Energy, the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources and the Ministry of the Interior.

There were a number of problems caused by the blackout, particularly in the field of health and education.
