June 1st, International Children’s Day, was celebrated in Kyrenia yesterday with colourful and entertaining activities, Kibris Postasi reports.
Events were organised at Ramadan Cemil Square, Social Life Centre, to mark International Children’s Day on June 1st.
The activities began at 10:30 AM with the opening of the stands and continued throughout the day, concluding at 7:00 PM with the final performance.
The events started at 11:00 AM with a violin and piano recital by the Azerbaijan Cyprus Friendship Society, followed by a folk dance performance by 23 Nisan Primary School at 11:45 AM. At 12:15 PM, there was a modern dance performance by Karaoğlanoğlu Primary School, which was followed at 12:45 PM by a folk dance performance by Mustafa Çağatay Primary School.
In the afternoon, at 1:15 PM, the activities continued with a dance performance by the Young Art Lovers, followed by a band performance by Şht. Hasan Cafer Primary School at 1:45 PM. At 2:30 PM, there was another folk dance performance by Şht. Hasan Cafer Primary School, and at 3:00 PM, magician Anıl Gökgül performed a Magic Show.
At 4:00 PM, an acrobatics and juggling show by Bubu and Fiyu entertained the audience, followed by outdoor games organised by Meritta Kids Club at 4:30 PM. At 5:15 PM, there was a ballet and dance performance by Happy Land, and at 5:30 PM, a show prepared by the Near East Dance School took the stage.
The events continued at 6:00 PM with a choir performance by Oğuz Veli Middle School, and the day concluded with another acrobatics and juggling show by Bubu and Fiyu at 7:00 PM.
