Police have confiscated 49 kilos of tobacco and 22 cartons of cigarettes as they were being smuggled through Kyrenia harbour.
This came about as police carried out an intensive effort to control illegal substances entering the TRNC. Between July 8th and July 12th, they mounted a major search effort at Kyrenia harbour questioning over one thousand passengers.
