Kyrenia hopes to host IMGA in 2019

Kyrenia has become one of the four candidate towns to host the International Masters Games Association (IMGA)* for 2019.

The other four towns are Pesaro (Italy), Tampere (Finland) and Torino (Italy).

Chairman of the Mediterranean Sport Union Srhad Deniz, which submitted Kyrenia’s candidacy, thanked President Mustafa Akinci and Prime Minister Huseyin Ozgurgun for the assistance given them towards this effort and stated that everyone must work so that Kyrenia becomes host of the Games in 2019.
