Kyrenia roadworks unearth ancient artefacts

A series of archaeological discoveries have been made in the Kyrenia Kordonboyu area.

Ongoing road and sewer works and excavations in the area have now uncovered an ancient burial mound, dating back to the Roman and Ancient Greek eras, Turkish Cypriot daily ‘Yeni Duzen’ reports.

Archaeologists from the antiquities department say that they have unearthed four skeletons as well as pottery and storage vessels from that period.
