Yesterday saw the continuation of the case of the 76 year old Ozankoy woman who it is claimed, was raped by 22 year old Mehmet Caka who also stole her money.
Appearing at the Girne Court, a finger print expert testified that he had found prints at the crime scene and matched them to Mr Caka.
However Mr Caka’s lawyer, Mentes Aziz claimed that he was very suspicious of where his client’s fingerprints had been obtained from, claiming that there had been a police conspiracy.
The trial continues tomorrow (February 22nd)
