After their three-hour meeting held this morning at the home of UN representative Elizabeth Spehar, a UN statement said that the leaders had exchanged views in a sincere and constructive atmosphere.

They decided to continue engaging in the efforts undertaken by Ms Jane Holl Lute with the determination to finalise the Terms of Reference that would enable structured and results-oriented negotiations leading to a settlement with a sense of urgency”, the UN statement read.

Finally, the two leaders reiterated their determination to intensify the work of the joint bi-communal technical committees.
