Leaders focus on property issue in today’s talks

Property was the focus of discussion on Tuesday during the intensified Cyprus negotiations in Mont Pèlerin, Switzerland, between the two Cypriot community leaders, under the guidance of UN Special Envoy Espen Barth Eide.

During their four hour meeting this morning, President Akinci and President Anastasiades were accompanied by their chief negotiators Ozdil Nami and Andreas Mavroyiannis and property committee experts.

Today’s talks, which are continuing this afternoon, are to prepare the ground for Wednesday, when the two leaders will focus on the problematic chapter on territory.

The Swiss Summit will conclude on Friday.
