The Turkish Lira plummeted to record low after the Turkish Central Bank lowered the interest rate by 200 basis points to 16 percent today, Kibris Postasi reported.
Following the decision announced by the CBRT Monetary Policy Committee (MPK), the lira fell to 9.48 against the US dollar and to 13.08 against the British pound.
