Local residents against new hotel development in village

The residents of Karaoglanoglu are protesting against plans to build a new hotel in the village.

Kaya Artemis Hotel group has reportedly purchased a former olive mill and locals are concerned that the surrounding land will become part of the hotel’s grounds.

The villagers have criticised the local council for allowing such a development to take place and have called for a public meeting on Tuesday 19th April to discuss the plans.

Reports last year said that the old olive mill will not be demolished but transformed into a restaurant.
