A large fire was started by accident earlier today.
One of the large advertisements at the roadside was being changed when a stray spark from a welding machine started a fire.
The tinder dry grass and light winds spread the fire rapidly along the roadside.
However, the fire brigade was quickly on the scene and the fire is now under control.
