The Mall of Cyprus which revolutionised shopping in Cyprus has been sold to a company from South Africa.
Shiakolas Group, which owns and operates the complex, reportedly sold the Mall for 193 million euros.
An official announcement on the sale of the Mall, which lies on the outskirts of Nicosia to the South African company Atterburry, is expected this week.
Atterbury develops prime commercial, retail and residential property primarily in South Africa and the African continent.
The complex opened in 2007 and brought in 4.5 million people in the first twelve months of operation with attractions such as IKEA and a super-sized Carrefour supermarket.
The Mall remains the favourite destination for shoppers in Nicosia.
