Banned from leaving Turkey, Ali Cicitekin used his brother’s papers to enter the TRNC and visit his children here.
However he was arrested when he attempted to return to Turkey.
Mr Cicitekin stuck his own photo on his brothers identity card. He used this to enter through Ercan on April 9th. However when he attempted to return back to Turkey two days ago he was stopped and arrested by police at the airport.
Yesterday, Mr Cicitekin was at Nicosia criminal court where he was ordered to be held for three days while police continue their investigations.
