A man’s body was found in the woods between the Long Beach Hotel and Ötüken in Iskele. His body was discovered by a person walking in the woods at 7.30 am on Sunday.,
Police officers arrived at the scene and investigations determined that the man was 53-year-old sculpture and ceramic artist Hasan Işık Özgöçmen. Police say that he had been murdered.
Mr. Özgöçmen was half naked with his trouser belt was found around his throat. He appeared to have been strangled and there was bruising on his face.
His car was found near the scene of the murder. Police used a camera drone to inspect the surrounding area.
