An unidentified man believed to be between the age of 40-45 was found dead in Bal Döken Park in Kyrenia at around midday on Sunday. Police described the man as having a beard and dark skin.
There were no signs of life when he was examined by a doctor, the police said. It is thought that he may have taken his own life.
His body was taken at the Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital morgue in Nicosia where an autopsy will be carried out.
