A man has been sentenced to 28 years imprisonment for the manslaughter of a drunken man who was sleeping on bench in a children’s playground.
On 1 September, at 4.40pm Fevzi Sanverdi stabbed Hasan Polat Sepetçıoğlu (26) twice while he was asleep on a bench in a park on Kordonboyu Street in Kyrenia.
Special Operations police took security precautions in light of previous disturbances outside Kyrenia District Court during another murder sentencing hearing.
