Prime Minister Sibel Siber announced this afternoon that legal proceedings would start against a member of parliament following allegations of bribery against him.
The announcement was made via a press statement issued by the Press and Public relations department in line with the objective of keeping the government transparent and honest.
Ms Siber said that she was deeply upset by the allegation which had occurred during the vote of confidence in the government programme held earlier today. The MP in question had not been able to attend the vote.
Ms Siber pointed out that the confidence motion would have been passed without the participation of the MP and promised that she would share information on the legal process as it developed.
