The Met Office forecast for the period July 6-12 is as follows:
The region will be under the influence of a low pressure system and a warm and relatively humid air mass.
The weather is expected to be mostly clear and partly cloudy throughout the week.
The highest air temperature will be around 36-38 C inland and 31-34 C on the coast on the first day of the forecast period, and 40-43 C in the interior areas and 35-38 C on the coast for the remainder of the forecast period.
The wind will generally blow moderate to occasionally strong from the south and west.
