Minor offenders detained at Nicosia Central Prison pending trial will be released temporarily.
The State Prosecutor’s Office has ordered the release of around 50 inmates until they are able face trial at a later date.
The decision is aimed at reducing prisoner numbers and reducing the risk of the spread of coronavirus.
