The Chairman of the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce, Fikri Toros has said that unification of telecoms across the island was a political issue, Turkish Cypriot daily ‘Detay’ reports.
Toros said that meetings had been held between the five GSM companies on the island, with initiatives taken by the two Chambers of Commerce to solve problems regarding ‘roaming’ signals across the island and added that “If there is political authorisation on the issue, the problem could be solved within a week”, he stated.
