A motorcyclist was injured in a traffic accident in Famagusta, in early hours of this morning, Yeniduzen reports.
According to information provided by the Police Press Office, the accident happened around 01:30 am today.
Ali Kurt (31), while driving under the influence of 209 milligrams of alcohol, was heading west on Topçu Boulevard without paying attention, when he collided with a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction.
The motorcyclist was attempting to turn into the Önder Shopping Centre car park. After the accident, the motorcycle driver, 29-year-old Zakır Ullah was taken to Famagusta State Hospital, where he was diagnosed with a fracture in his left knee.
The intoxicated driver, Ali Kurt, was arrested. Meanwhile the police investigation into the incident is ongoing.
