Police were out in force last night conducting raids on a number of night clubs.
‘King’ and ‘Crazy Girl’ in Haspolat, ‘Imperator’ in Gonyeli, ‘Sexy Lady’ in Alaykoy and ‘Yakamoz’ in Gemikonagi were all raided.
At the end of the night there were 21 arrests with charges of prostitution or gaining income from prostitution.
All those charged have been processed through the courts this morning and released on bail. Bail conditions include guarantees from a TRNC citizen and a ban on overseas travel.
Club clients arrested were: Mustafa Aldemir, Ozcan Parclar, Ismet Yarar, Fatih Calis, Ibrahim Acikgoz, Abdullah Hasapaca, Arda Erkan and Adem Guler.
Charged club employees were named as: Mumin Ali, Mehmet Ozdal, Sonal Hikmet, Mustafa Taskin and Erkan Bulut.
Six hostesses were also arrested.
