Name of new Cyprus negotiator revealed

The name of the new Turkish Cypriot negotiator in the Cyprus talks has been revealed, although the announcement is not yet official, ‘Kibris Postasi’ reports.

Ergün Olgun, former political advisor to the President will replace Kudret Özersay as negotiator in the Cyprus talks.

Ergün Olgun was born in Nicosia, Cyprus and has a Master’s degree in Governance from George Washington University, Washington, DC. He has worked both in the public and private sectors, as well as a contract consultant for UNDP, before he was enrolled by the Presidency in 1993. He initially served there as Special Political Adviser.
