According to the police press officer’s report on the nationwide traffic inspections conducted on May 5th, a total of 1,728 vehicle drivers were inspected, Kibris Postasi reports.
Among them, 409 drivers faced charges for various traffic violations, leading to legal actions against them. Furthermore, 4 drivers were arrested, and 26 vehicles were banned from the roads.
The reported traffic violations include:
310 instances of exceeding the legal speed limit,
11 cases of driving under the influence of alcohol,
8 incidents of mobile phone usage while driving,
4 instances of driving without seat belts,
11 occurrences of driving without proper navigation licences,
3 cases of driving without insurance,
3 violations for applying vision-obstructing window film,
1 incident of dangerous driving,
In addition, 58 other miscellaneous traffic infractions were recorded.
