Cyprus negotiators Andreas Mavroyiannis and Ozdil Nami will continue their meetings this week, before taking a two-week break. The date of resuming their work is likely to be 25thAugust, when they will meet daily to lay the ground for the two Cypriot presidents’ meeting on 1st September.
Greek Cypriot Government Spokesman Nikos Christodoulides said that the negotiators would be meeting on Monday along with the working committee on the economy. After that they would have a meeting in the presence of the working committee on the property issue, he added.
Christodoulides said that the negotiators would also meet on Tuesday along with the working committee on EU issues, and on Friday to assess progress and make further plans.
UN Secretary General’s Special Adviser Espen Barth Eide will not be present on Monday and Tuesday but will join the negotiators on Friday at the assessment meeting.
