A new book name ‘Sokak Sokak, Magusa’ (Street Street Famagusta) was launched a few days ago.
The author, Dr Okan Dagli, who was present at a book signing, said that for many years there was a dearth of books dealing with the ancient walled city of Famagusta. He hoped that the book, which explores the nooks and crannies of the old city and is well illustrated, would also be of interest to younger generations.
The main goal is to publish this book in English and other languages. Dr Dagli said that he is also preparing another book which covers the history and culture of the city.
There a several other books available on Famagusta, online and this new book should be a welcome addition when it is translated into English and other languages.
