A new expert report regarding the Isias Hotel case, currently under trial at the Third Heavy Penal Court of Adıyaman Justice Palace, has been forwarded to 9 Eylül University by the court, Yeniduzen reports.
The Isias Hotel case, arising from the earthquakes that occurred in Turkey on February 6 last year, resulting in the deaths of 72 individuals, including 35 Turkish Cypriot athletes and teachers, is being adjudicated at the Adıyaman 3rd Heavy Penal Court.
Ahead of the third hearing slated for June 12, the court has dispatched the expert report to 9 Eylül University for review.
In the previous trial session, which saw the release of two detainees following a technical report from Gazi University, an objection was raised, prompting the submission of three separate technical expert reports to the court.
“We place our trust in science and the supremacy of law“, remarked Ruşen Yücesoylu Karakaya, President of the Champions’ Preservation Association, in a statement to the press. “We have faith that experts will once again illuminate the reality of the murder that occurred at Isias Hotel to the court. The collapse of this sand heap in 16 seconds, claiming the lives of our loved ones, has a scientific explanation, and we hope that the experts will furnish a comprehensive report in accordance with this truth. At Isias, we lost our dearest to the hands of the unscrupulous, who proclaimed ‘by any means necessary,’ engaging in illicit activities. We reiterate our commitment to fight for the prosecution of these individuals for possible premeditated actions until our last breath”.
