New five star hotel planned for Long Beach Iskele

A public meeting will be held on Thursday in Aygun village near Iskele when local stakeholders will hear of an environmental impact report on the effects of a proposed hotel to be built on Long Beach.

The existing Long Beach resort will be demolished to allow the construction of a five star hotel resort which will cover over 60 donum of beachfront leased from the government.

The proposal for the 680-bed hotel has been made by the son of the Acapulco resort owner Unal Caginer who is Chairman of DMG Investments and on the board of trustees of the Final International University in Kyrenia.

Included in the hotel complex will be, restaurants and bars, pools, green and sports areas, conference and meeting rooms, a spa and sports hall which will cover 47% of the ‘Blue area’ tourism-zoned plot.
