The Güzelyurt Central Irrigation Project is being inaugurated today at Güzelyurt Kumköy facility. Prime Minister Tufan Erhürman will also attend the opening ceremony which will be broadcast live by BRT.
With the inclusion of the second phase at the distribution centre, a total of 8,181 acres of agricultural land will be supplied with water, using local resources.
When the irrigation project is completed, approximately 18 thousand acres of agricultural land, will be irrigated by water from Turkey.
