The new gross minimum wage in the TRNC has been set at 3,150 TL. As of 1 February, the lowest net salary will be 2,740 TL.
The new minimum wage, the first of this year, was raised by a specially appointed committee.
Speaking after the committee meeting, Minister of Labour and Social Security Zeki Celer stated that “this is the point we can reach for now when we push our limits”.
